PRESIDENT CANDIDATE

Aydin Sadr (He/Him)

To begin, I would like to provide a little background about myself: I am a current Business and Society student in my 5th year at York. I have been very involved with Bethune for the last 4 years, starting as a General Member on council in my 2nd year, Commuter Director in my 3rd year, a senior member on BAC in my 4th year, and finally, I am the interim President. I wish to be appointed as BCC's President because I believe that I have a lot of knowledge and experience with the Bethune community. I acknowledge that I have a lot to learn to be a great President; however, I am extremely dedicated to furthering my knowledge of the role, and I believe that I have the best people around me to learn how to be an amazing president for this community. I am very passionate about this position and will be available on a day-to-day basis throughout the year to commit all my time towards BCC as President. My goals for this year are to make Bethune the most welcoming environment possible while ensuring that the constituents feel heard in the community. I will also continue to keep a strong connection with Lassonde, making sure Lassonde students' needs are met. I love this community and have loved it since my 1st day at York to the point where I can call Bethune my home. I want to work towards building a strong and safe community for all Bethune and Lassonde constituents so they can call Bethune home as well.

FIRST YEAR REP CANDIDATES

Divone Makitu (He/Him)

Hi I’m Divone most people call me Div. I’m a Biomedical science first year student. I’m a huge lover of sports (I mostly play soccer) I was captain for a good majority of the team sports I was on and usually led activities with the student council back high school. Talking to people and making new connections is another thing I enjoy doing especially in a surrounding like this one. I little fun fact about me is that I’m a digital creator, just love capturing and editing moments and from time to time I make music in bedroom lol.
