Beginning Monday February 9th, we will be collecting non-perishable food items in support of the Friends of Ruby organization.

Donations will be collected in the Bethune College Council Office (Bethune College room 122) and Peer Mentor Office (Bethune College room 208). If you donate you will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a $25 gift card! Friends of Ruby supports 2SLGBTQIA+ youth (aged 16-29) in Toronto by providing mental health support, housing services, etc. Our food drive donations will directly support their supplemental grocery program which is the only food source for some of their service users.

They kindly request the following items as they are in high demand: Meal replacement shakes Canned beans Canned soup Snacks (ie. chips, poptarts, crackers, cookies, candy) Instant noodle cups Microwave curry Instant mac and cheese (cups and boxes) Instant oatmeal Canned fruit Canned fish and meat (ie. tuna, salmon, ham, turkey) Vegetable oil Sauces and condiments (ie. ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, soy sauce, hot sauce, salad dressing) Mini cereal boxes This food drive will be running until March 9th.
