ACADEMIC REPRESENTATIVE AND ALUMNI REPRESENTATIVE HIRING

ACADEMIC REPRESENTATIVE
The roles of an Academic Representative for Bethune College Council include:
-
Must be a current member of Student Ombuds Services (SOS)
-
Act as the official liaison between Student Ombuds Services (SOS) and Bethune College Council (BCC)
-
Serve as the voice of the student body on academic matters, and be responsible for bringing for bringing forward any academic-related student feedback or concerns to Student Ombuds Services (SOS) and Bethune College Council (BCC)
-
Coordinate and attend a minimum of one meeting per academic semester with SOS coordinators to discuss academic concerns and report back to Council
-
Organize at least one academic study session per semester

Assist Head Office with academic orientation initiatives and proactively help coordinate tours or events to ensure efficient planning and communication

Ensure constituents are made aware of academic resources available on campus by collaborating with the Promotions Director to maintain a dedicated section on the BCC website
ALUMNI REPRESENTATIVE
The roles of an Alumni Representative for Bethune College Council include:
-
Must have served as a Bethune College Council (BCC) member for at least one full year
-
Establish and maintain a communication channel between the Bethune College Council (BCC) and Bethune Alumni
-
Organize a minimum of two alumni-focused events per academic year
-
Attend council meetings
-
Sit on the Hiring Committee
-
Attend Bethune College Council (BCC) events when possible to foster alumni visibility and engagement, though attendance is encouraged but not mandatory
